System Requirements

Below are the recommended system requirements, BARX may experience performance issues if these are not met.

  • Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista with the latest service packs and security updates installed
  • Sun Java Runtime Environment version 6.0 update 6
  • 1GB hard disk space available
  • 1GB of RAM (2GB of RAM recommended for Windows Vista)
  • Internet Explorer 6 or later with 128-bit encryption and ActiveX enabled (for BARX Live only)
  • SVGA Monitor (17" or larger)
  • Internet Connectivity (A 256kb/s connection will support approximately 3 users)
  • Anonymous and Basic authentication supported (Window Integrated authentication, otherwise known as NTLM, is currently not supported.)
  • Firewall to be configured to allow the files types .jnlp and .jar
  • Firewall to be configured to allow the IP addresses:
