BARX Live Re-Installation Guide

Welcome to the BARX trading platform. Please ensure your computer meets our system requirements before you begin.

Existing BARX Live users planning on re-installing BARX onto another computer should follow the step-by-step instructions below.

New users of BARX Live should follow the new installation guide.

Refer to our troubleshooting guide if you encounter problems during the installation.

Step 1: Back-up your existing Barclays Capital digital certificate.

The existing certificate must be backed-up on the old computer and transferred to the new computer. If the old computer is no longer available, please contact BARX Support for a replacement certificate.

Step 2: Download BARX.

» Launch BARX Live.

(Note: BARX Fixed Income users must use this link.)

Consult our troubleshooting guide if Java Web Start fails to download BARX.

Step 3: Login to BARX.

Enter your Barclays Capital username and password at the login screen and click Login.

If you have problems connecting, check your proxy server settings by clicking on the Options tab, and select the Action "Change Internet Settings". You can find more helpful information in our troubleshooting guide.

Step 4: Create a BARX desktop shortcut.

To create a desktop shortcut to login to BARX on subsequent occasions:

  1. Launch Java Web Start.
  2. Right-click on the 'BARX Live' icon in the downloaded applications box and click Install Shortcuts.
