The Agency team was established in London in 1990 to manage the agent and security trustee roles of Barclays Bank PLC within syndicated loan facilities. The Agency discipline is separated from the other activities undertaken by the Global Loans team enabling the team to provide an impartial and highly professional service to participant lenders and borrowers alike.

The Agency team handles an extensive portfolio of corporate, project and leveraged loan assets, and has developed a wealth of experience in administering the broad range of transactions of various types and sizes which make up the syndicated loan market; the team also manages the many different situations which can arise during the term of a syndicated facility.

Barclays Capital understands the requirements of investors in its European commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) conduit programme. Demonstrating its commitment to the continued development of the market, Barclays Capital Mortgage Servicing Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, provides asset management and surveillance together with transparent reporting to investors in its CMBS issuance.

The team of dedicated specialists within Barclays Capital Mortgage Servicing Ltd provides the highest standards of collateral management, asset surveillance, cash management oversight, information collation and distribution to CMBS investors in the Barclays Capital ECLIPSE programme.
