The creation of Barclays Capital in 1997 provided us with the unique opportunity to focus on our infrastructure and build a world-class IT platform. Unburdened by unwieldy legacy platforms, which afflict many of our competitors, we continue to strive to maintain best-in-class technology solutions for our business.
Since that time, IT has become increasingly influential in the way the firm operates. Our staff numbers have almost tripled in the last four years.
