Syndicated Lending
Barclays Capital is a leader in the global syndicated loan market. We work alongside our investment banking team to originate and execute a wide variety of financings. These include syndicated and bilateral loans, bridge facilities, acquisition finance, leveraged loans, project and export finance.

The syndicated lending team is comprised of a highly experienced group of professionals, offering clients access to a broad range of tailored financing solutions by matching borrower requirements with those of the many loan investors with who we are in constant contact.

Agency
The Agency business was established in London in 1990 to manage the agent and security trustee roles of Barclays Bank PLC within syndicated loan facilities. We handle an extensive portfolio of corporate, project and leveraged loan assets, and have developed a wealth of experience in administering the broad range of transactions of various types and sizes which make up the syndicated loan market; we also manage the many different situations which can arise during the term of a syndicated facility.

Mortgage Servicing
We understand the requirements of investors in our European commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) conduit programme. Barclays Capital Mortgage Servicing Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, provides asset management and surveillance together with transparent reporting to investors in its CMBS issuance.

The team of dedicated specialists within Barclays Capital Mortgage Servicing Ltd provides collateral management, asset surveillance, cash management oversight, information collation and distribution to CMBS investors in the Barclays Capital ECLIPSE programme.

Secondary Loan Trading
We are one of the leading houses engaged in the trading of loan assets on a global basis. This activity complements the position which Barclays occupies in the primary loan market.
