Barclays Capital appoints Senior Team to Investment Banking Division

Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jitesh Gadhia, Marc Holtzman, Simon Hargreaves, Jason Rynbeck and Frank Hancock as Managing Directors in the Investment Banking Division.  They join from ABN AMRO, where they built a strong corporate advisory business focused on high growth markets in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, in addition to their successful franchise in the developed markets.  They will report into John Winter, Head of European Investment Banking & Debt Capital Markets.

Today’s appointments significantly enhance our ability to advise our clients on corporate strategy, divestitures, and acquisitions, with particular focus on clients in high growth markets in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.  The team will utilize their advisory and execution expertise in these areas to leverage Barclays Capital’s extensive platform across credit, equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities and to accelerate the growth of our advisory-led activities with our corporate clients.”

  • Mr Gadhia joins as Managing Director and Head of Advisory, based in London.  Mr Gadhia joins from ABN AMRO where he was Managing Director, Corporate Finance, advising a broad range of clients in new and developed markets.
  • Marc Holtzman joins as Managing Director and Vice Chairman in Investment Banking, based in London.  He was previously a Vice Chairman of ABN AMRO.
  • Simon Hargreaves joins as Managing Director and Head of Advisory for EMEA, based in London. He was previously Managing Director, Head of M&A, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa at ABN AMRO.
  • Jason Rynbeck joins as Managing Director and Head of Advisory for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. He was previously Managing Director, Corporate Finance, Asia at ABN AMRO.
  • Frank Hancock joins as Managing Director and Head of Advisory for India, based in Mumbai. He was previously Managing Director, Head of M&A, India at ABN AMRO.

Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East are important areas for the growth of the firm. Many existing clients as well as next generation multi-national clients are based in these regions, together with important investment companies and their associated pools of capital. This team will provide a significant boost to our capabilities through their expertise in corporate finance, M&A, financing and risk management.
