Hong Kong - Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Han, as a Director in Global Loans. This appointment continues the expansion of Barclays Capital’s regional Global Loans and Leveraged Finance businesses headed by Hans Fuchs and Alan Hirakawa respectively with a focus on supporting the continued growth of acquisition activity across the region.

Michael will join the Leveraged Loan team within Global Loans. He will work closely with the Asia Pacific Leveraged Finance team in the origination and structuring of transactions in Korea as well as with the Global Loans syndicate and sales team run by Justin Crane in relation to the pricing and distribution of such transactions to Korean based investors. He will report to Guy Smith who is responsible for Asia Pacific Leveraged Loans comprising both the senior and junior loan product.

Michael joins Barclays Capital from Standard Chartered Bank where he spent the last 2 years with responsibility for leveraged finance and acquisition activity in Korea. Prior to that he spent a number of years with Citibank in Seoul and Hong Kong focused on debt origination and was also previously with Korea Exchange Bank in Seoul.
