Singapore - Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Murphy, as a Managing Director in Global Distribution. Based in Singapore, Paul will focus on further strengthening the firm’s client franchise in Asia Pacific by developing broader and deeper business relationships with key clients in the region. He will report regionally to Kevin Burke, Head of Distribution, Asia Pacific and globally to Neil Cummins, Managing Director, Global Distribution.

Paul brings with him over 20 years’ international experience in capital markets, including 10 years at UBS where he held a number of sales and product management positions across treasury products and fixed income, as well as posts with Citibank, AIG Trading and Lloyds Bank in Sydney, Singapore and New York.

Commenting on the move, Kevin Burke said, "Our client-focused strategy and single product delivery platform have enabled Barclays Capital to build a strong franchise in the region over the past several years, and the addition of Paul’s extensive management-level experience should accelerate the growth of our business across Asia Pacific."
