Barclays Capital further strengthens leveraged finance capability in Europe
LONDON – Barclays Capital today announced a series of promotions within its European Leveraged Finance team to reinforce its position as a market leader within the leveraged market. These appointments will ensure the team continues to provide a seamless leveraged product offering to clients and investors across the capital structure.
Kirk Harrison and Phil Kelleher, both Managing Directors, have been jointly promoted to the newly created role of Co-Heads of Leveraged Product, reporting to John Kelting, Head of European Leveraged Finance. They will be taking responsibility for all aspects of leveraged product within the Leveraged Finance business, incorporating senior debt, second lien, mezzanine, high yield and public and private PIK debt.
Within the new structure, Graham Rainbow and Alaric Fountain-Barber will be taking joint responsibility for private leveraged syndicate, and Boris Okuliar will be taking responsibility for public leveraged syndicate. This will create a closely integrated syndicate team that builds on the firm's product-agnostic approach to providing optimal financing solutions to clients.
Jonathan Hosgood and David Shaw have been jointly promoted to Co-Heads of Sponsor Origination, reporting to John Kelting. This comes as John Leach, Managing Director, takes a sabbatical from the firm after working in banking for over 20 years.
Commenting on the appointments, John Kelting said:
“I am delighted to be making these promotions across the European Leveraged Finance team. The changes announced today will provide greater integration and innovation across leveraged products and origination, benefiting our clients and investors.”
