New York, NY (November 12, 2009) – Barclays Capital today announced the appointment of Rick Landgarten as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Global Healthcare Group within the Investment Banking Division. He will be based in New York.

In his role, Mr. Landgarten will partner with Patrick McMullan, Co-Head of the Global Healthcare Group, to oversee the firm’s coverage of corporate clients across the Healthcare sector. He will report to Ros Stephenson and Tom King, Co-Heads of Corporate Finance, Investment Banking Division.

Mr. Landgarten joins from Moelis & Company where he led the firm’s coverage of the healthcare sector. He was previously the Co-Head of Global Healthcare Investment Banking at Citigroup. Prior to Citigroup, he worked in the Healthcare Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He began his career at Chemical Bank.
