Bob Foresman appointed Country Manager for Barclays, Russia

Barclays Bank PLC announces the appointment of Bob Foresman as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking and Investment Management, Russia and Country Manager for Barclays, Russia.

In this role, Mr Foresman will head Barclays Investment Banking and Investment Management businesses in Russia, as well as represent and coordinate the activities of the Barclays Group in the country. Mr Foresman will be based in Moscow, and report to Benoit de Vitry, Head of Global Markets-Trading, Europe and Head of Commodities and Emerging Markets at Barclays Capital. This appointment continues the build-out of Barclays Capital’s investment banking and advisory capabilities globally.

Mr Foresman joins the firm from Renaissance Capital, where he was Deputy Chairman. Prior to this, he was Chairman of the Management Committee for Russia and CIS for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Head of Investment Banking for Russia for ING Barings. Throughout his career, Mr Foresman has been involved in some of the most significant and transformational mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions, particularly within the Russian energy sector.
