Barclays Capital, the investment banking business of Barclays Bank PLC, announced today that its US listed options electronic trading offering is now available through the Eze OMS™, the award-winning order management system (OMS) offered through ConvergEx. Through the Eze OMS, ConvergEx’s clients now have access to Barclays Capital’s options trading strategies, including Work and Pounce and Vol Trader, as well as Smart Router directly from the Eze OMS.

Barclays Capital’s options trading offering available through ConvergEx’s Eze OMS includes:

• Vol Trader enables clients to work orders at an implied volatility level, automatically adjusting trading style as prices and available liquidity change throughout the day. Vol Trader also dynamically hedges with a gamma-adjusted or fixed delta by executing the underlying equity as the option order is filled
• Options Work & Pounce allows traders to peg a slice passively or remain completely hidden while waiting for liquidity to become available within the specified discretion range
• Leveraging the scaled routing and market data infrastructure developed for equities, the new low-latency Smart Router offers simultaneous access to liquidity across all seven US options exchanges, with functionality designed to efficiently execute orders through passive posting, sweeping and use of reserve orders to minimize information leakage

In addition to ConvergEx’s Eze OMS, clients can access Barclays Capital’s options algorithms and Smart Router via a number of other EMS and OMS providers.
