NEW YORK, NY (May 11, 2009) – Barclays Capital, the investment banking business of Barclays Bank PLC, today announced the appointment of Greg Barrett as Head of Prime Services Capital Solutions, based in New York. Reporting to New York-based Brian Reilly, Head of Barclays Capital’s Asset Management Solutions team, Mr. Barrett will oversee the firm's global capital solutions teams in New York and London.

Mr. Reilly commented on the appointment, “Greg’s understanding of the global capital introductions landscape, across both funds and investors, positions him well for this role. His client focus and extensive experience will be incredibly valuable as we work to better assist our clients with their capital raising needs.”

Mr. Barrett previously held roles in the firm’s Prime Services business, most recently in the Capital Solutions group. He has 12 years of hedge fund industry experience.
