Tokyo – 8 April 2009 – Barclays Capital Japan Limited announced today that it has appointed Tatsuo Kimura as Managing Director and Head of Technology, Corporate Finance in the firm’s Investment Banking Division. With 25 years experience in investment banking, Mr Kimura will lead the Technology coverage team, further enhancing the firm’s investment banking franchise in Japan.

Mr. Kimura was most recently a Managing Director at CCMP Capital Asia (now Unitas Capital), a major investment fund, where he led a team evaluating private equity investment opportunities in a broad range of companies in Japan. Previously, Mr. Kimura worked for Deutsche Securities where he managed a number of notable transactions in M&A and capital raising in the fields of Telecoms, Media &Technology.
