New York, NY (November 6, 2008) – Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, announced today the appointment of Yvette Hollingsworth as a Managing Director and Head of Financial Crime. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the firm's compliance efforts in anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-corruption. Based in New York, she will report to Stephen Morse, Head of Compliance.

Ms. Hollingsworth joins the firm after an eleven year career in the investment banking industry most recently as a Managing Director at Citigroup in New York, where she was the North America Regional Head for Anti-Money Laundering for the Institutional Clients Group. Prior to this Ms. Hollingsworth was a Senior Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Ms. Hollingsworth has an MBA from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
