Head of Structured Capital Markets and Principal Investments

Iain Abrahams is a Managing Director and Head of Structured Capital Markets and Principal Investments at Barclays Capital, based in London. He is also responsible for the firm’s Private Equity business.

He is a member of Barclays Capital’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in 1995, Mr. Abrahams was a Tax Partner at Slaughter and May, between 1992 and 1995.

Previously, he was at Ernst and Young where he held various positions in both New York and London. His last role was Partner in charge of International Law.

Mr. Abrahams graduated in Law from Glasgow University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young.
